Guidelines for WhatsApp / Social Media Parent Groups

Purpose of the group:

To organize social events/get togethers with the class.

To share community resources, like dentist recommendations etc. 

Do not use the group for the following: 

• To discuss your child’s school experience. 
• To discuss any other child’s school experience.
• To discuss the classroom, school, or any people who work at the school. 
• If you use a tracking device on your child/your child’s electronic device, please do not share the location of your child/your child’s classroom while on an outing or excursion.

These types of conversations are private and confidential. Out of respect for our whole school community, we ask that parents respect the privacy of our community members.  If you feel that there is inappropriate content on a class chat group, please contact school administration to discuss.  We will treat these conversations with the utmost respect and confidentiality.

Misuse of the social media group chat for any of the above reasons may result in the chat group being shut down.
