Teacher & Staff Group Gift Program

During the December Holidays and at the end of school year in June, the Parents’ Association provides families with an opportunity to contribute to group gifts for the teachers, assistants and support staff. The money collected for each person is pooled together and a personalized cheque is written for each teacher/staff member.

Participation is completely voluntary and contribution amounts are kept confidential. Please do not feel pressured to contribute. Contributions are pooled together, and teachers do not see individual amounts.

Some parents have asked for ballpark suggestions for contributions. In past years parents have contributed around $20-$25 for the teacher and around $15-$20 for an assistant, and from $5-$20 for support staff whom they and their children regularly connect with. It is entirely up to you if you would like to participate and completely your choice as to how much, if anything, you would like to contribute. Contribution amounts will be kept confidential.

Browse through teachers by class and click on the name of the staff member. This will take you to a shopping cart where you may add the “quantity” of $1 contributions you want to make (i.e. 15 x $1 = $15 contribution). When you have set the quantity to the desired amount, simply click on “Continue Shopping” to go back to this page and select another staff member. When you have finished adding your contributions, proceed to check out through the usual checkout process.

There’s even an opportunity to write short personalized notes to each recipient, if you wish. Contribution amounts are kept confidential and are pooled together, providing each teacher with one large group gift cheque.  On the last day of school, a beautiful, custom card containing all of the personalized messages will be presented to each staff member. 

Please note that our online payment processor (Square) charges us a fee of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, and this amount will be deducted from your contribution. (e.g. $0.88 for $20 total purchase, $1.75 for $50 total purchase $3.20 for $100 total purchase, etc.)
